The following commonly used terms may help you:

• Curbside Recycling: Provided by your residential trash provider, recycler or municipality. The common types are:
  • Single-Stream: Households do not have to separate any materials. Co-mingle your recyclable items in a container, typically a bin or barrel with a lid that is on wheels.
  • Source Separated: Households separate items according to the service provider's guidelines. Generally by newsprint, other mixed paper; plastics and metals.
• Drop-Off Recycling Sites: A recycler, waste hauler or municipally placed recycling bin(s) for those without access to curbside.
